Why is Sony’s “Wega” pronounced “Vega”? What the hell? Why not just spell it “Vega” and be done with it?

Thought for today — why can’t sports channels get more than 6 advertisers? I swear I’ve watched the same like 4 commercials about 7000 times each during the World Series. C’mon, advertisers — that’s an 18-54 male demographic you could be reaching.
